Sounds good

That guitar sounds good as hell, but how would you do some really think crunchy chugs?

RyanChampion responds:

I use EastWest/Quantum Leap for the chords, it comes with a number of recorded chords with velocity sensitive and different recordings.

So if you just tap the key, it'd be a chug, if you hit it good, it's a full strum, and there's about 4 or 5 recording of each chord all together. It's a magnificent piece of software.

They also have a new program out, "Ministy of Rock". I'm looking at purchasing it soon, it sound ALOT better than this :)

Cheers :)

Well.

My face is melting, still.

Its nice to hear vocals on NG, there are very few of us. You guys recorded this in a studio, I take it? I like that subtle reverb you've got on them. You may apprecaite some of our shit as well.

Dominimous responds:

Thanks, yeah we recorded this in a small studio along with 3 other songs for about a grand. He records pretty much every band in the area that is serious. I'll check out some of you're guy's stuff.

Pretty awesome.

Yeah, you can make that guitar sound a little more legit by using the damper and velocity knobs on the slayer frame, the sound is pretty solid with the combo, you should just layer a few more and detune them slightly to fatten them up. Nice blend of sound though. Good stuff.

WritersBlock responds:

Cheers, thanks for the review, and the tips. I'll keep that in mind.

Pretty solid.

I get a kick out of simple shit like this. Its nice to hear shakers as opposed to high hats. I'm a fan of guitar and bells going off in opposite ears as well. You might try to get rid of some of the fuzz though. Pretty good stuff.

pitbulljones responds:

thankd for the review. not actually shakers theyre brush beats. that fuzz is off the acoustic, always a bugger. tried eqing it out but it muddled the sound. thanks again

Sexy as hell.

Easily the best thing I've found on newgrounds so far in my 2 weeks here. Great blend of guitar and synth. You guys seem to work well dynamically.

Hating4AM responds:

Sweet. This is my most completed track yet. Full guitars and all (thank you Ryan!).

Peace!

Pretty solid.

Its definatly catchy, you just need to beef up those guitars. I'm going to go out on a limb here and assume your using Slayer, with FL? If so, you can really make those guitars chug and crunch if you slam the same notes through about 5 slayers at a time with different presets. Turn the highs and the drives up on some, damper the hell out of them, and then power chord the others and charge the mids and the prescence up. Thats how I've managed to get what I consider decent results. Worth a shot though. - Jordan

Father-of-Death responds:

even though it's a little to late but i'll keep this in mind! ^^
